Cabernet Franc

A variety grown in the Bordeaux and Loire region of France that is a nice fit in the Finger Lakes as well. We’ve had to watch it in the vineyard because it wants to crop heavy some years. It produces a fruity, medium-bodied wine and in some years ours has had a silky, elegant, mouth feel reminiscent of Pinot Noir. Cabernet Franc is an integral component in blends and an excellent match with food.
