OUR VARIETIES
Chardonnay
› 4.15 Acres
› Planted in 1982
Chardonnay, the dominant white grape of Burgundy, is now widely planted throughout most wine regions of the world. Jim Prejean’s love of white burgundy led inevitably to planting chardonnay. It ripens early for us, which unfortunately, also brings the attentions of starlings and robins. We produced two styles since 1988 our standard stainless steel fermented Chardonnay and a barrel fermented style. Reserve Chardonnay-Our Reserve Chardonnay is barrel fermented in both French and American oak and aged on the lees. Chardonnay-‘No Oak’ Chardonnays are all the rage these but we’ve making one since 1988. It’s nice to see the world catch up. |
