OUR VARIETIES
Cayuga
› 3.45 Acres
› Planted in 1982
Cayuga is a variety that Cornell University developed at the Ag experiment station in Geneva, NY. The grape is ideally suited to the growing conditions of the Finger Lakes and has become a workhorse. Cayuga is made into wines of varied styles from dry to sweet to sparkling. We make a semi-sweet wine and we blend the grape into our Tiger Lily blush. We are in awe of this variety. It has phenomenal disease resistance, is cold hardy and the site where we grow it is as shallow as our tasting room floor and we still can grow a full crop! |
